&Beyond will open its latest Kenyan property, &Beyond Suyian Lodge, later this month in the 44 000 acre Suyian Conservancy in north-western Laikipia.
Situated at the edge of an escarpment and overlooking the Ewaso Narok River, &Beyond Suyian Lodge will feature 14 suites including a family suite and triple suite. Each suite includes a lounge, outdoor shower and private plunge pool with views of Mount Kenya and the conservancy below.
The lodge incorporates Afro-Wabi-Sabi design influences with interiors reflecting semi-nomadic Samburu culture and local materials. Facilities include a wellness centre, steam room, yoga space, interactive map room, chef’s kitchen and a library.
Guests can participate in twice-daily game drives, walking and camel safaris, horseback riding, cultural visits and active ranching experiences. Additional activities include helicopter flights and catch-and-release fishing. The WILDchild programme is available for younger guests.
As the sole lodge operator on the conservancy, &Beyond will manage Suyian Lodge and future developments, including mobile camps and sky beds. A partnership with Space for Giants will support long-term land protection, aiming to develop Suyian into a financially self-sufficient model for protected area management.
“Representing a critical piece of the Kenyan circuit, Laikipia not only offers a world-class game experience but also aligns with many of our ambitious impact objectives,” said Joss Kent, &Beyond CEO and Executive Chairman. “In Suyian Conservancy and Space for Giants, we have found the perfect partnership.”
Max Graham, Founder of Space for Giants, described the conservancy as the organisation’s “soul” and said the partnership with &Beyond “will ensure this magical natural ecosystem is not only protected but thrives”.
Suyian joins &Beyond’s Kenyan portfolio alongside Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp and Bateleur Camp in the Maasai Mara.
