The Cape Town International Kite Festival will return to Youngsfield Military Base in Ottery on October 24-25 for its 32nd edition.
Organised by Cape Mental Health, the festival will gather local and international kite flyers for displays of giant kites alongside family entertainment, interactive activities and food stalls.
This year’s theme, #ColourTheSky, supports the festival’s aim of raising mental health awareness and encouraging conversations about emotional wellbeing. Proceeds from ticket sales and donations will support Cape Mental Health’s free services for vulnerable communities in the Western Cape.
“The kite festival provides us with an opportunity to brighten the sky with messages of hope and stories of resilience,” said Cape Mental Health CEO Ingrid Daniels.
