DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town Upper Eastside has taken an important step towards enhancing its conference and events offering with the recent Halaal certification of its First Floor Conference & Events kitchen.
The certification reflects a comprehensive commitment to meeting the requirements of Halaal-conscious conference and event organisers with the hotel investing in certified ingredients, certified suppliers, dedicated equipment and the necessary operational processes to ensure compliance throughout the kitchen.
As part of this initiative, the hotel has also redesigned its conference and events menus, providing greater choice and flexibility for organisers planning conferences, meetings, incentives and private events in Cape Town.
“Our Halaal certification is about much more than simply offering a Halaal menu,” says Francois Steyn, General Manager and Owner Partner. “We have carefully considered every element from our suppliers and ingredients to equipment, preparation and service. Our aim is to give conference organisers confidence that their Halaal requirements are being taken seriously and accommodated with the necessary care and attention.”
The certification provides an additional opportunity for the hotel to support the growing needs of the business events and MICE market, particularly as Cape Town continues to attract conferences, incentives and international groups with diverse dietary and cultural requirements.
Importantly, the Halaal certification applies specifically to the hotel’s First Floor Conference & Events kitchen and its associated food service. It does not apply to Bistro31, the hotel’s ground floor restaurant, which operates separately and is not Halaal-certified.
With 10 conference and event venues and capacity for up to 300 delegates, DoubleTree by Hilton Cape Town Upper Eastside continues to evolve its offering to meet the changing requirements of the business events market.
The new Halaal-certified offering is now available for conferences and events hosted through the hotel’s First Floor Conference & Events operation.
