Entries for hospitality awards close soon

The Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa (FEDHASA) has issued a final call for entries for the second FEDHASA Hospitality Awards with submissions closing on January 30.

The awards, to be presented during WTM Africa in Cape Town on April 15, recognise individuals, brands and businesses in South Africa’s hospitality sector.

“Every day, I witness hospitality professionals who pour their hearts into creating experiences that visitors will remember long after they’ve returned home,” said Lee-Anne Singer, Chairperson of FEDHASA Cape. “These are the people who choose hospitality not as a stepping stone but as their calling. Yet, too often, their exceptional work goes unnoticed. These awards exist to finally shine a light on the professionals who are the heartbeat of our industry.”

The awards feature 21 categories across four areas:

  1. Commercial excellence
  2. Operational excellence
  3. Food and beverage excellence
  4. Innovation and impact

Special recognition categories include the Trailblazer Award and Leader of the Year.

“Behind every great guest experience is someone who shows up early, stays late and cares deeply about what they do,” said Singer. “If you manage a strong team or are proud of what your business has achieved, this is the moment to act.”

Entries can be submitted online by registering, selecting a category, completing the entry form and paying the R295 (US$18.40) entry fee (excluding VAT). Proof of payment must be submitted before midnight on January 30.
