Ethiopian Airlines ends recently launched Barcelona service

Ethiopian Airlines terminates its flights to Barcelona, after just launching the route on July 1.

Ethiopian Airlines has announced that, as of August 15, it will no longer operate flights between Barcelona and Addis Ababa, after just launching the route on July 1.

The airline said the decision was made to end the route due to operational difficulties that prevented it to fulfil its service to customers.

The route included a stop-over in Madrid, at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, and was serviced by the ultra-modern B787-800 Dreamliner.

From August 15, Ethiopian Airlines will continue to serve Madrid four times a week.
