Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), in partnership with the Kenya Tourism Board and WildEarth Productions, has launched KenyaLIVE, a six-month project streaming live footage of Kenyan wildlife.
Officially launched at Nairobi National Park on September 22, the project shares daily wildlife footage from nine parks around Kenya: Amboseli, the Aberdares, Meru, Mount Elgon, Nairobi National Park, Ruma, Sibiloi, Tsavo East and Tsavo West.
The programme shows morning and afternoon live sessions alongside WildEarth’s SafariLIVE broadcasts and is available through 16 global platforms, including DStv, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus and Roku. KWS said the content is attracting more than 500 000 daily viewers.
Rebecca Miano, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, said the initiative provides an opportunity to promote Kenya’s wildlife and conservation efforts around the world.
