Last week, we asked whether luxury guests should get preferential access to wildlife sightings.
The majority of respondents rejected the idea: 68% said the amount travellers pay for their accommodation should not give them preferential wildlife access. However, almost a quarter (23%) said guests at high-end properties should receive priority while 9% were unsure.

This week, Tourism Update would like to know where the industry draws the line when it comes to tourists taking an active role in conservation experiences involving wildlife.
Hands-on conservation experiences can give travellers an opportunity to participate in activities such as wildlife monitoring, research or veterinary interventions. However, there are questions about tourist participation, particularly when close interaction with wildlife is part of the appeal of the experience.
