New Chair for SANParks
Beryl Ferguson has been appointed Chairperson of SANParks by the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment David Maynier. This appointment follows her service as Interim Chairperson of the Board from October 1, 2025.
Ferguson has previously served on the National Lotteries Commission Board, the Council of the University of the Western Cape and the South African National Biodiversity Institute.
Ferguson’s appointment is effective from August 1.
Richard Bray takes the helm at ANEW
ANEW Hotels & Resorts has appointed Richard Bray as Operations Director from August 1. Bray joins ANEW from Premier Hotels & Resorts where he served as Group Operations Manager for nearly two decades.
His career began in 1983 with Holiday Inn and Southern Sun, progressing through general management roles at Southern Sun Hotels, the Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel, Cape Town, Lyrath Estate Hotel and Spa in Kilkenny, Ireland, and Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa.
He said of the move: “I look forward to working alongside the teams across all properties to deliver the operational excellence that our guests and our people deserve.”
