One&Only Resort appoints Martin Cody
Martin Cody has been tasked to serve as the Cluster GM at One&Only Resorts in Rwanda. Cody has over a decade of experience in international hotels. He previously served as the Regional VP and GM at the Four Seasons Hotel in Johannesburg.
New GM for Radisson Blu Umhlanga
Samir Ramdial has been appointed as the Radisson Blu Hotel, Durban Umhlanga’s new GM.
A South African hospitality professional with more than 10 years of experience, Ramdial has worked across leading four- and five-star hotels in Africa and Europe as well as internationally aboard luxury cruise ships. Ramdial joins the hotel from Four Points by Sheraton Kigali where he served as Hotel Manager.
David Germain returns to Seychelles Tourism Board
The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has announced that veteran tourism marketer David Germain has rejoined the organisation as dedicated representative in the Americas and Canada. Germain first joined the STB in 2006 where he marketed the Seychelles across Africa before expanding his responsibilities as Regional Director for Africa and the Americas.
Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe elects new president
Kathy Kathewela is the first person from a travel agency business to become President of the Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe. She is also the youngest person to hold office to date. Kathewela is Managing Director of Elgrass Travel, an agency with over 14 years’ experience in the travel industry.
