Sibaya opens its doors in Umhlanga Rocks

AFRISUN’S Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom has opened its doors in Umhlanga Rocks on KwaZulu Natal’s North Coast. The development combines elements inspired by traditional Zulu life with Western technology. The central components of Sibaya are casino facilities like smart cards, over 900 slots and 37 tables, a main casino floor, a smoking casino and the Royal Court Prive. The Prive features smoking and non-smoking slots and tables and looks out on the Indian Ocean. Sibaya’s conference facility offers a 1 000 square metre venue. A boma area with capacity for 250 people offers an extension to the conference facility for team building and other events and functions. The Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom incorporates the Royal Sibaya Hotel with its 12 suites and 24 rooms. A 120-room hotel is due to open in 2006. Sibaya also features a number of bars and restaurants, a night life venue called Krakatoa, and culture-tainment facilities, including the iZulu Theatre and the African cuisine Sondela Tavern.
