Spier launches exclusive-use villas

Spier Wine Farm has launched two new exclusive-use villas as the final stage of an extensive renovation of Spier Hotel.

The double-storey Garden and Riverside villas each offer an open-plan dining room, lounge with fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, guest cloakroom and an en-suite bedroom on the ground floors. French doors lead onto a verandah, garden and heated pool. Two en-suite bedrooms – one king-sized and the other twin – are on the first floor. These rooms can be interleading if required.

Garden Villa has a pergola-covered outdoor lounge with fireplace, dining area and built-in barbecue while Riverside Villa has an outdoor dining table and fire pit with mountain views.

Each villa comes with a dedicated service team, including a private chef.

The interiors, designed by Cape Town-based Jacques Erasmus, have a mix of contemporary handcrafted furnishings and antique pieces with artwork curated by the Spier Arts Trust.

The gardens are part of the hotel’s fynbos rewilding project by Danie Steenkamp of DDS Projects.
