Ronalda Schivonne Nalumango is a Member of the National Assembly for the African National Congress (ANC) and has served in Parliament since June 2024. She is the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Tourism where she provides leadership on parliamentary oversight relating to tourism policy, governance, transformation and sector recovery. Born and raised in Kylemore in the Western Cape, Nalumango matriculated at Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof and attended Stellenbosch University. Her public service journey includes experience as a local councillor in the Cape Winelands District where she built a strong grounding in community representation and local government. Her activism is rooted in grassroots ANC structures and community-focused political work in the Western Cape. She entered politics through the ANC Youth League, serving on its National Executive Committee from 2011 to 2012, and later continued her work through local government as a councillor in the Cape Winelands District Municipality and Stellenbosch Local Municipality. Between 2019 and 2023, she played a key organising role as interim coordinator of the ANC in the Western Cape, helping to guide provincial structures during a period of rebuilding and preparation for local government elections. Her election to the ANC National Executive Committee in 2022 further reflected her growing influence in party activism and organisational leadership.
