The Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) plans to introduce a new guide licensing system shortly.

BQA’s Ezekie Thekiso told tour guides the new system will be finalised in a week’s time.

For an interim period, guides will be able to continue to operate. However, guides without a qualification will need to be assessed to register for a licence under the new system.
