Protea Hotel by Marriott Franschhoek is set to undergo expansion and a major refurbishment.
The existing conference facilities will be converted into 10 additional bedrooms. All public areas and bedrooms will be refurbished, and a new dining offering, Hussar Grill, will be added.
General Manager, Jennifer Reichgelt, said the hotel would close for three months from May 25 to August 25 while the renovations took place, although some work would commence prior to the closure. Reichgelt confirms that guests are unlikely to be affected during the period before closure as work will only take place from 09h00 to 16h00 from Monday to Friday.
