THE Nosy Iranja island resort in Madagascar is once again open to visitors. This follows a ruling by Madagascan authorities reinstating Legacy in the resort and on the lease held by Island Dreams. The island is located on the north western tip of the country and comprises of two islands linked by a 1,2km sandbar. Facilities include 30 luxury bungalows with private access to the beach, as well as a range of water sports, including deep-sea fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving. Access to the island from South Africa is via a four-hour flight, followed by a 1hr 20min boat trip along the Malagasy coastline.
