Rani Resorts has announced that there is no confirmed reopening date for Matemo Island Resort in Mozambique.
Earlier this year, Rani announced a maintenance project scheduled between February and April, however following an inspection visit, it was apparent significant structural damage to the main buildings had taken place due to an extended period of exposure to severe weather.
What was considered a routine maintenance project will now require substantial assessment and repair and Matemo Island will be closed until further notice.
The Rani Resorts reservations team will be directly in touch with agents and customers to offer guests affected by the closure alternative, suitable options.
