People on the move: Singita appoints new sales representation overseas

Singita has appointed Léa Seguier as Sales Representation for Australia and New Zealand.

Singita has appointed Léa Seguier as Sales Representation for Australia and New Zealand, effective February 1.

“Seguier is well known in the luxury travel sector in both countries and, due to her vast experience, is the ideal custodian for our highly valued travel partners in this region,” says Caroline Burke, GM Business Development at Singita. “Her passion for upmarket guest experiences and keen eye for the incredible potential of the luxury travel industry is evident, along with her extensive training and work ethic.”

Seguier has a degree in International Hospitality Management from the University of Surrey in the UK. She started as an intern at Belmond Hotel de la Cité in France, before being promoted to the sales team. She then moved to Australia to join Belmond Observatory Hotel’s sales team, and proceeded to secure a position as Business Development Manager at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney. Both roles enabled her to build strong relationships and contacts within the luxury travel sector.

“I’ve always worked in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on Australasia, and it was a natural next step to return. I believe that this clientele represents a huge potential for the luxury sector and am honoured to become the face of Singita – and bring its radiance to Australia and New Zealand,” she says.

Seguier is based in Australia and represents Singita exclusively, working closely with Caroline Burke to develop this market and look after valuable trade partnerships in the region.
