Minister of Health, Joe Phaala, has proposed what he terms ‘soft incentives’ to encourage South Africans to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Amongst others, this would mean those with vax certificates would be allowed to attend music festivals, sporting events and other gatherings.
These measures are set to be finalised over the next week and, according to the Minister, attendees will have to show some vaccination confirmation when attending these events.
