Wilderness Resort Hotel reopens

The Wilderness Resort Hotel on the Garden Route has reopened following its acquisition by businessman and hotelier, Albert Wiffen. The property had been closed for almost four years and was previously known as the Karos Wilderness Resort & Spa.

The 158-room hotel is situated almost at the centre of the Garden Route and is close to Mossel Bay and Knysna, and is a little less than an hour to Oudtshoorn.

Facilities include banqueting halls and conference rooms, two swimming pools, a bowling green, a spa, two tennis courts and a squash court.

“We plan to market it as an affordable but up-market destination,” says Wiffen.
