Air Zim suspends regional operations

Air Zimbabwe has suspended its regional operations and is currently only operating its Harare-London flight and two domestic routes, according to The Times Live.

According to media reports, a B737-500 aircraft leased by Air Zimbabwe has been withdrawn over what is an estimated US$460 000 debt.

The Times Live quoted Air Zimbabwe Chief Executive, Innocent Mavhunga, saying that although there had been problems with the party from which the airline was leasing the aircraft, it was negotiating with its partners. He continued to say that only regional routes had been affected.
