Air Zimbabwe is planning to revive flights between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg, Norbert Machingauta, Air Zimbabwe’s Strategy and Economics Manager, told Tourism Update. According to Machingauta the airline will start operating the route from April.
Zimbabwe’s Transport and Communications Permanent Secretary, Munesu Munodawafa, was quoted in local newspapers as saying it was important that Victoria Falls was linked with Harare and Johannesburg ahead of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation general assembly in August.
Munodawafa said: “"We have set in motion plans to re-introduce the Victoria Falls-Johannesburg route from April. This is because most airlines change their flight schedules in April, which coincides with the summer season in Europe.”
