Fair Trade in Tourism South Africa (FTTSA) has certified De Zeekoe Guest Farm, its first property in Oudtshoorn.
De Zeekoe is an owner-managed African farm that offers a variety of accommodation types, with both catered and self-catering options.
“This addition to the FTTSA portfolio is very strategic, as it will enable individual travellers as well as tour operators to extend the options for Fair Trade Tourism holiday packages along the Garden Route,” said Katarina Mancama, FTTSA Marketing Manager.
“Becoming a FTTSA-certified business allows us interaction with establishments and people, who also offer a sustainable service to their community and to tourism,” said Owner, Paula Potgieter.
