KENYA’S Masai Mara has a new lodge, Kuoni Mara Bushtops Camp, situated close to the Mara River, where the river crossing of wildebeest and zebras can be observed during migration.
The camp has been designed to make the most of natural resources while including modern amenities. There are 12 luxury tents, each with a large bed, an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, an outdoor sunken tub, dining table, writing desk and private wooden deck with a telescope to view the nearby game.
A 24-hour butler service is available, allowing guests to dine in the privacy of their own tent. Facilities include a bar, library and pool. Game drives, walking safaris, bush picnics, hikes along the nearby Sekanani Hills, bird-watching, fishing at Lake Victoria, cultural outings, themed dinners, storytelling and hot-air balloon safaris can all be organised from the camp.
