Cape Town Tourism Board finalised

Cape Town Tourism has announced the Board that will guide the DMO’s operations for the next three years.

Tracy Mkhize, Cape Town Tourism Board Chairperson and Cape Town International Convention Centre COO

The finalised Board composition is:

  • Tracy Mkhize – COO of the Cape Town International Convention Centre (Chairperson)
  • Leigh-Ann Singer – Marketing and Sales Director at the Singer Group (Deputy Chairperson)
  • Donald Kau – Head of PR and Communications at the V&A Waterfront (Director)
  • Maija de Rijk-Uys – MD of Go2Africa
  • Samantha Clingham – Director of Operations: Eastern and Western Cape at Southern Sun Hotels
  • Shireen Onia – Founder of ServiceGurus
  • Tarryn Tomlinson – CEO of LiveAble
  • Cobus du Plessis – CFO of Motsamayi Tourism Group
  • Monwabisi Thethe – CEO of Brand Contact Consultant
  • Selma Hercules – Financial Director of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway
  • James Vos – Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth at the City of Cape Town
  • Lance Greyling – Director: Enterprise and Investment for the City of Cape Town
  • Theuns Vivian – Manager: Destination Development for the City of Cape Town

ATTA Group Events announces two new appointments

ATTA Group Events has appointed two new team members to support buyer engagement and event operations as the organisation expands its global events portfolio.

Samantha Kelly, ATTA Group Events Buyer Engagement Manager

Samantha Kelly, appointed as Buyer Engagement Manager, joins with extensive tourism industry experience and a data-driven approach to buyer engagement. She brings detailed insight into the Experience Africa audience and practical systems expertise.

She will lead buyer and hosted-buyer recruitment, vetting and engagement across the ATTA portfolio, ensuring high-quality buyers and value for exhibitors at shared-stand events, Experience Africa and Essence of Africa.

Michelle Hollis, ATTA Group Events Event Operations Manager

Michelle Hollis, appointed as Event Operations Manager, brings strong organisational and operational experience as well as long-standing familiarity with ATTA through her participation in previous events.

She will work with exhibitors, suppliers, venues and the wider team to support full operational delivery across the events calendar.
