Protea Hotels Group has appointed Jacky Maulgue as new Regional Sales Manager: Gauteng (Corporate), effective August 3.
Maulgue had been with the Protea Hotels Group sales team for over 10 years and was previously a sales executive and Regional Sales Manager for the group. She worked for Bon Hotels as Director of Sales and also headed up the Institute of Travel & Meetings, Southern Africa.
Protea Hotels has promoted Gareth Venner to Group International Sales Manager. He was previously Regional Sales Manager for Gauteng. Venner qualified in hotel and restaurant management.
TotalStay Group, a UK-based online hotel supplier to the travel industry, has appointed Regional Manager for Africa, Philippa Chesler. She was previously International Sales Manager for the Protea Hospitality Group. In her new position, Chesler will be heading up the Sales and Purchasing strategy for TotalStay Group in Africa.
Juan Morterero, Vice President of Product and Purchasing, said: “Philippa’s track record in contracting hotels and her key involvement in the Protea Hotels/Marriott integration last year have given her invaluable experience that will be extremely useful to our own purchasing strategy and integration process.”
