Protea Hotel Capital in Pretoria is undergoing a phased refurbishment of its public areas.
The renovation will start with the Thistle Cocktail Bar, where upgrades will take roughly a month to complete. The balance of renovations will be finished by the end of February next year.
Derick Tait, MD at Boulevard Hotels which owns the property, said the makeover includes Laird’s Restaurant and the lounge area.
“The hotel has been well kept over the last 15 years but the time has come to give this well-positioned property a good facelift with a new fresh look,” said Tait.
Danny Bryer, Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue, said Protea Hotel Capital was the 13th Protea hotel to undergo refurbishment this year. “There is ongoing investment in our properties to maintain and exceed brand standards and to provide guests with the best experience possible in our hotels,” he said.
The Protea Hotel Capital offers 104 luxury rooms and six conference rooms.
