THETA has suspended all of its scheduled learnership rollouts until after an audit of the process as a result of “irregularities”.
“Due to the current learnership rollout delays experienced, we are in the process of auditing the entire learnership and the related departmental processes,” said Mike Tsotetsi, ceo.
“In this process it has come to light that there exist potential irregularities in terms of the processes followed with the allocation of learners to learnership applicants. As a direct result of this potential breach, we have suspended the entire learnership department until completion of the audit.”
Tsotetsi concluded that the suspension of the learnership rollouts will not affect any other department of Theta and the continuation of the current learnership programme is ensured.
