Newmark Hotels & Reserves recently announced the addition of two properties to its portfolio: Toro River Lodge in South Africa and Thitaka Lodge in Namibia.
Toro River Lodge is set along the Makhutswi River bank in the Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve, Limpopo. It is an existing property that will reopen under Newmark’s management in early 2026. The lodge comprises five rooms and is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment. Activities will include game drives and safari walks.
Thitaka Lodge is situated in the Bwabwata National Park along the Kwando River in the Zambezi Region (previously known as the Caprivi Strip). It is a new development expected to open in the first quarter of 2026. The luxury tented camp will include three private villas and three bush villas, each with a private pool, as well as three family villas and six standard tents with a shared pool, restaurant and bar. Activities will include game drives and boat outings.
