Turkish Airways launches Mauritius-Madagascar flights

Turkish Airways is launching an Istanbul-Mauritius-Antananarivo route.

Turkish Airways will launch Istanbul-Mauritius-Antananarivo (Madagascar) flights operating four times a week from December 15.

The flight departs Istanbul at 01h10 and lands in Mauritius at 12h55. The flight then departs Mauritius at 14h10 and arrives in Antananarivo at 15h00.

The return flight departs Antananarivo at 16h30 and arrives in Mauritius at 19h20. It then departs at 20h35 and arrives in Istanbul at 04h15 next day.

Katja Quasdorf, Product and Marketing Director for Jenman Safaris, said the new flights would open the destination to international markets. “The new flights will be competition for the existing Air Madagascar and Air France flights. Accessibility to Madagascar has traditionally been expensive, but with this additional international access, travellers will find the destination more affordable and enjoy better connections, especially from the Scandinavian markets. We feel that there is also an opportunity now to combine Mauritius with Madagascar, which opens a world of new opportunities.”
