Tusk Mmabatho Casino Resort upgraded and re-branded

TUSK Mmabatho Casino Resort, near Mafikeng in the North West Province, has undergone an extensive make-over costing over R20m. In line with Peermont’s branding strategy, the resort will assume a new identity and name – Mmabatho Palms Hotel Casino and Convention Resort.

The make-over includes the refurbishment of the casino, the addition of a conferencing facility called the Bagosing Room, the revamping of the Motswedi Terrace Restaurant and Bar and all public areas. The four-star Peermont Walmont hotel, located at the resort has also received a soft facelift.

The driving theme behind the refurbishment is the celebration of the local Batswana people and their culture. “Before embarking on the refurbishment project, the Peermont team conducted extensive research into the local culture and surrounding area which is saturated with history. Elements of the Setswana culture and tradition are represented in all the design components and we have renamed all the resort’s facilities in line with the local language, Setswana,” says Anthony Puttergill, chief executive officer of Peermont.
