THREE Acsa officials have been arrested in connection with the multi-million dollar heist at Johannesburg International Airport this weekend. Solomon Makgale, Acsa communications manager, confirmed today that these officials had been suspended with full pay as per the company’s policy. “We respect their right to prove their innocence, but are very disappointed,” said Makgale. Despite Acsa’s efforts to identify risks in its necessary systems, the organisation has now acknowledged that stricter checks and balances need to be put in place. “These are nearing completion and will be implemented in a matter of weeks,” concluded Makgale.
