BREAKING NEWS: Congestion, parking shortage at OR Tambo

OR TAMBO International Airport is experiencing extremely high numbers of passengers as a result of cyclists making their way to the Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Tour. According to Solomon Makgale, spokesperson for OR Tambo, the situation at the airport is extremely hectic and is expected to remain that way. He said that 60 000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport today, Saturday and Sunday. Causing the most frustration among passengers is the parking situation. Makgale advised that passengers should make use of the Super South long-term parking as there is more than enough available. A shuttle also leaves the parking every 15 minutes to transport passengers to their terminals, free of charge. Makgale added that passengers should arrive at least 90 minutes before their flight departs and check www.acsa.co.za for more information about the parking, including a map to the Super South parking area.
