Cape Town battles for Monopoly

SOUTH Africa’s Mother City is competing for a spot on the board of the soon-to-be-launched Monopoly World Edition board game.

Makers of the board game, featuring 22 world cities, have been taking votes online to determine the most popular cities to include. Sixty-seven pre-selected cities, including Paris and Sydney, will be narrowed down to 20 while the remaining two will be voted for by members of the public.

Cape Town is currently in 28th position, with 0,9% of the vote. Entries for voting close February 29.
