KLEI Aparthotel at Devonbosch, a 62-unit aparthotel operated by Totalstay, is currently under construction with completion slated for 2026. The property is located in a mixed-use precinct on the urban edge of Stellenbosch.
Reghard Goussard, SquareTurn Development Marketing & Sales Executive, told Tourism Update that KLEI responds to growing demand for accommodation in the Winelands.

“There’s a gap between traditional hotels and the newer, flexible accommodation models. KLEI fills that space, it’s self-contained, professionally run and offers guests a high-quality lifestyle experience,” said Goussard.
According to Goussard, the aparthotel is a natural fit within the broader Devonbosch vision. “We’ve always seen Devonbosch as a lifestyle destination with a strong hospitality component. KLEI brings a boutique hospitality layer that adds value to the live-work-play philosophy we’ve built here.”
He said guest demand will be driven not only by Stellenbosch’s year-round tourism appeal but also by the precinct’s growing amenity mix.

The 320 hectare Devonbosch precinct includes outdoor trails, a deli and café, new sports and wellness facilities, retail spaces, and upcoming hospitality attractions such as Ischia Italian Restaurant and the School of Rock (opening in 2026).
The launch of the Cape Winelands Airport nearby is expected to further boost domestic and international access to the area.
