City Lodge Hotel Group is set to open four new hotels by the end of next year.
The 147-room Town Lodge Windhoek is set to open in September, 2017, and the 172-room City Lodge Hotel Two Rivers in Nairobi is set to open in October this year.
The 147-room City Lodge Hotel Dar es Salaam is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018 and the 148-room City Lodge Hotel Maputo in the second quarter.
The City Lodge Hotel at OR Tambo will get 62 new rooms, bringing the total number of rooms to 365. Renovations are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018. There are also plans for a 158-room Town Lodge in Umhlanga and a 90-room Road Lodge in Polokwane.
The group’s total revenue for the year to June 30, 2017, grew by 1,8% to R1,52bn and room occupancy decreased by 3% to 63%.
