Comair saw a 129% increase in profit during the period July 1 to December 31, 2016 compared with the corresponding period in 2015.
The company achieved a R199 million profit for the period, compared to R84 million in the same period in 2015.
omair says it foresees continued pressures on margins in the industry and anticipates an ongoing volatile exchange rate. The airline notes that the price of oil is on an upward trend but says the upgrades to its fleet will mitigate expected fuel price increases.
