Cresta Hotels to rebrand

Cresta Hotels has announced its intention to re-brand its hotels. The new identity for the hotels is set to be revealed in the ensuing days.

Cresta Hotels has been associated with hotel operations as far back as 1958. In 1987 Cresta Hotels acquired the management contract for the Marakanelo Hotels in Botswana. Currently Cresta Hotels manages eight hotels in Botswana, including the flagship Mowana Safari Lodge. The hotel group manages 13 hotels including the 179 roomed Kwara Hotel in Ilorin. Soon to join the fold is the upmarket 117-room Cresta Allen Hotel in the trendy Ikeja district in Lagos, which is scheduled to open in November this year.

Cresta will shortly be launching a new corporate identity that has been developed after over a year of research and strategy development in conjunction with leading global branding consultants InterbrandSampson.

The new brand identity will be launched in Botswana, where extensive refurbishment has positioned the group as a leading provider of quality business accommodation. The new Nigeria operation will be launched under the new brand later this year, with the Zimbabwean operation set to re-brand following its refurbishment programme within the next 18 to 24 months.
