CSIR ICC expands facilities management team

The CSIR International Convention Centre (ICC) has announced key appointments within its facilities management team – reinforcing its commitment to safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards.

Jobe Mkhatywa, Safety and Setup Coordinator.

Jobe Mkhatywa has been appointed Safety and Setup Coordinator, bringing expertise in SHEQ management across various industries. He holds a national diploma in safety management along with qualifications in internal audits and ISO standards.

Morgan Mahlangu, Facilities Coordinator.

Morgan Mahlangu has been promoted to Facilities Coordinator. He joined the organisation in 2020 and played a key role in maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring compliance with COVID-19 protocols while supervising the housekeeping team.

WP Pretorius, Safety, Security, Health and Environment Manager.

WP Pretorius steps into the role of Safety, Security, Health and Environment Manager after serving as Safety and Setup Coordinator since 2020. He has a national diploma in advanced safety management and has completed specialised training in occupational health and safety and compensation for occupational injuries. Pretorius is also a member of the Event Safety Council ensuring compliance within the business events sector.

Zwelithini Ndlovu, Handyman.

Zwelithini Ndlovu has been appointed Handyman. With qualifications in electrical engineering, refrigeration and air conditioning, Ndlovu is a certified electrician with a trade test certificate. In his new role, he will oversee general maintenance of conferencing and accommodation facilities.
