Among those who use social media to market their tourism offerings, the vast proportion rely on Facebook and Instagram, according to the results of our latest poll. From the more than 120 respondents, 47% selected Facebook as the most valuable social media marketing tool, followed by Instagram with 38%. The remaining votes were split between LinkedIn (5%), TikTok (3%) and Twitter (1%), while 6% of respondents selected ‘Other’.
How will UK hunting import ban affect tourism?
The UK recently passed a bill banning the import of hunting trophies from more than 6 000 species, including animals such as lions, elephants and leopards.
Hunting advocates argue that the practice contributes hundreds of millions of dollars to tourism revenues and conservation efforts across southern Africa, and the demise of the industry could lead to the loss of thousands of jobs.
