Kumuka Worldwide, a global adventure tour operator, has ceased trading, reports Travelmole.
Kumuka was established in 1983 and carried over 12,000 clients per year. They had over 600 tours, ranging from two days to 35 weeks, covering 75 countries and spanning seven continents.
According to Katja Quasdorf, Marketing Manager of Jenman Safaris, one of Kumuka’s holiday package suppliers in South Africa: “We are currently checking what bookings we have been holding for Kumuka. If clients have booked a Kumuka holiday and wish to rebook another or similar tour with us, we are offering them a 10% discount if they book before September 30.”
Several other reports worldwide indicate that other tour operators are helping affected Kumuka passengers with alternative travel arrangements. Intrepid, G Adventures and other adventure tour operators are reportedly offering deals to affected Kumuka clients.
