Hotel Lamunu in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, has launched a monthly flea market, to be held outside the property on the corner of Melle and Juta streets.
Named The Grove Flea Market, the initiative kicked off with 14 traders who brought a variety of affordable products to sell. Cindy Sotywambe, Founder of the market, says the next event will take place on July 29 and 30 and will see 20 traders selling a variety of goods, including vintage bags, shoes, printed T-shirts and earrings.
“A blog has also been launched so that consumers can stay in touch with The Grove Flea Market as well as the traders. Consumers can follow the blog on www.thegrovemarket.blogspot.com and stay informed,” Sotywambe said.
