Unanticipated layovers are never fun, especially if you are stuck in a stormy, snow-covered Chicago.
Business traveller, Eoin Carriga, was on his way to a conference in Houston when a flight delay made him miss his connecting flight in Chicago.
Unfortunately, Eoin’s accommodation for the evening was left to the airline’s discretion.
Comfort Inn O’Hare was the hotel of choice and Eoin just had to make do.
When he arrived at the hotel’s reception desk, the lady behind the counter handed over the room key and told him that he would be staying in the ‘Boardroom Suite’. Without asking questions about the obviously odd name, Eoin took the key and headed up to the room.
Once he opened the door he just had to laugh. Not only was the name odd, it was extremely accurate. A bedroom suite with a literal boardroom table in the middle of the room.
He took to Twitter to post a picture of what he saw and to his surprise, his tweet went viral with some sharing that they had experienced the same predicament.
