The world is full of amazing and beautiful tourist attractions, from the Eiffel Tower to Big Ben all the way to Table Mountain. There are also some strange and odd tourist attractions.

Here are five of the weirdest tourist attractions around the world:

  1. Life size dinosaurs in California

The World’s Biggest Dinosaurs Park has only two dinosaurs, a T-rex and an Apatosaurus. They were designed by Claude K. Bell, and after he died in in 1988 they were taken over by a religious group that set up a Creationist museum at the site.

  1. The Gnome Reserve in  England

If you really love garden gnomes the Gnome Reserve in England is the place to visit. Over 1 000 gnomes and pixies can be viewed in their natural outdoor habitat. Oh, and the reserve will also lend visitors pointed hats and fishing rods so that they don’t embarrass the gnomes.

  1. The Ramen Museum in Japan

Instant noodles are great, a quick and easy snack. And in Japan there is a whole museum dedicated to these noodles. The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum has an exhibition about instant noodles around the world, a reproduction of the shack where Momofuku Ando first created Chicken Ramen and a tasting room of all the different Nissin products.

  1. Stonehenge? No, Carhenge in Alaska

Jimmy Reinders and his family decided to build a tribute to his father. The solution – a replica of Stonehenge made from classic cars painted grey. Since Carhenge was opened on the Summer Solstice in 1987, Jimmy has added other car art such as Reinders’ Ford Seasons, which was inspired by Vivaldi’s Four seasons.

  1. South Africa’s Big… Pineapple?

This 16,7m-high fibreglass pineapple in Bathurst, Eastern Cape, is the perfect place to get a great view, and even a quirky selfie. After the trip to the top to see the stunning 360-degree view, there is pineapple jam and chutney to be brought.
