New dining option at Shelley Point Hotel

Shelley Point Hotel, Spa & Country Club in the Western Cape has added the Cattle Baron Grill and Bistro to its hospitality offering.  The restaurant aims to expand the hotel’s facilities to the local community while providing guests with another specialised dining option.

Food and Beverage Manager, Kathy Matthee, says: “It’s important for us to not only offer our hotel guests an alternative eatery, but also that we offer the local market a choice, tried-and-tested steakhouse-cum-bistro. Visitors to St Helena Bay are not spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and we hope to fill a gap in the market with our variety of restaurant options.”

The Cattle Baron offers a range of steaks, including the Green Pepper Fillet Madagascar, brandied Flaming Chateaubriand and the pan-fried Pepper Fillet. Old-fashioned charcoal grills with firebrick are used, enabling steaks to be grilled at an optimal temperature.

Shelley Point Hotel, Spa & Country Club launched its new wing this month and now offers 86 suites, a choice of two restaurants, a deli and alfresco bistro, conferencing facilities for up to 80 delegates, wellness centre and spa, golf, gymnasium, two swimming pools and a Kids’ Club.
