IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Valor Hospitality Partners to manage three new-build properties in Namibia: the Vignette Collection Dunes Resort in Swakopmund, Holiday Inn in Walvis Bay and voco in the Windhoek CBD.
The hotels are being developed with capital expenditure of R1.3 billion (€62 million).
“Namibia is one of the most promising growth markets in Southern Africa and we are proud to enhance our presence in the country with three distinctive brands,” said Haitham Mattar, MD for India, Middle East and Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts.
Michael Pownall, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Valor Hospitality Partners, said the agreements reflect growing confidence in the region’s hospitality sector.
