KULULA.COM will replace its entire fleet with Boeing 737-400 aircraft by the end of the year, a move the airline says will reduce its cost per seat by 8% and also add 160 000 additional seats into the market. The 162-seat aircraft are valued at R90m each, said Gidon Novick, Comair joint ceo. “With the efficiency of our new fleet we will have the lowest costs in the industry, which will continue to allow us to offer consistently low airfares and achieve our goal of having 10% of South Africans flying by 2010.” Lucy Siebert (lucys@nowmedia.co.za)
