New restaurants open at The Westcliff

Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg has introduced two new restaurants, Flames and View.  


Flames has a large terrace overlooking the city’s treetops, perfect for sunset drinks and snacks. It embraces Joburg’s urban vibe with a DJ occasionally spinning some tracks. The menu features re-interpreted South African classics, combined with international favourites. There is also an outdoor braai area.


View offers a fine dining experience with a French influence and makes the most of the hotel’s panoramas with its sunset terrace. 


Both restaurants will be run by the hotel’s new Executive Chef, Dirk Gieselmann, who has served as Chef de Cuisine at the Michelin three-star Auberge de l’Ill in France’s Alsace region for the past seven years. 


“With a chef of Dirk’s calibre now on board complemented by an urban chic setting, we are setting a new standard for dining in Joburg,” says the hotel’s GM, Sébastien Carré.
