New tourism office opens in Constantia Valley

Jooles Kilbride, CEO of Constantia Valley Tourism, and Hailey Donald, the sales and marketing manager, of the new tourism office in Constantia Valley.

A new tourism office opened in the Constantia Valley on May 3.

“We started online a year ago as an information portal and we just realised there was a demand for a tourism office,” said Hailey Donald, Sales, Marketing and Account Manager of Constantia Valley Tourism.

“Setting up offices in Groot Constantia Valley was a no-brainer as it’s the busiest wine farm and filled with tourists,” said Donald.

Karen Woodcock, from the marketing division at Groot Constantia, welcomed the tourist office at the wine estate. “I think it’s a win-win situation for them and for us, and for anyone querying anything in the valley such as accommodation, shopping spaces and restaurants.”

The office is open seven days a week between 09h00 – 16h00 Monday to Friday, and 10h00 – 17h00 over weekends.

Constantia Valley consists of wine routes such as Steenberg Vineyards, Constantia Uitsig, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Groot Constantia, Eagles Nest Vineyards, Constantia Glen, Beau Constantia and Silvermist Vineyards.

La Colombe and The Greenhouse at The Cellars Hohenort Hotel are two restaurants also located in the valley.
