New trails and redevelopments in Malawi

Central African Wilderness Safaris (Caws) has enhanced guests’ experience at both Mvuu Camp and Lodge in Liwonde and Chelinda Camp and Lodge in Nyika.

Nyika National Park is Malawi’s largest park and is situated in the north. Caws recently introduced the Sangwala Trail, a new hiking trail for guests at Chelinda Camp and Lodge. The three-day trail is fully catered and covers 43 kilometres of montane grasslands and woodlands.

Mvuu Camp and Lodge in Liwonde National Park in the south of the country has completed significant renovations. The lodge has a new dining room and the old dining room and lounge have been converted into a seating area and a library.

A new star bed is also being constructed on the southern floodplains.

The J&B chalets at Mvuu Camp have had a complete makeover, with new décor and renovated bathrooms, and a new dining and lounge area adjoining the two chalets.

The refurbished chalets will be ideal for small groups and families, as they are completely private.

Two new Land Rovers are on their way to Mvuu.
