New GM for Radisson Blu Cape Town
Radisson Blu Hotel and Residence, Cape Town, has appointed Danie Smit as the new General Manager, effective end of January.
Smit began his career in the industry at a hotel in Bloemfontein in the late 1980s. He has held the position of GM at several other establishments such as Villa Via Pretoria, City Lodge, Southern Sun and Protea Hotels.
He leaves his position as GM of the Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Victoria Junction for this new journey at the Radisson Blu Cape Town.
City Lodge’s new Revenue Manager
City Lodge Hotel Group has appointed David Jacobsz Group Revenue Manager.
Jacobsz started his hospitality career in Scotland and has worked for various hotels. He was previously Market Manager at the Expedia Group for the last eight years.

WeStay’s new GM
Melissa Sookraj will be the new General Manager of WeStay WestPoint Apartments. She has worked at numerous five-star hotels in Gauteng and obtained a degree in Hospitality Management at The International Hotel School in 2015.
